Elegant black fired pottery jar by Juan Tafoya, 1949-2006.

Son of Dominicia Martinez Tafoya, San Ildefonso Pueblo.

Traditionally hand built with native clay, stone burnished, lightly etched and pit fired.

Lustrous black pottery stands 5 1/4" tall by 6" diameter.
